2021 a Booming Year for Bahrain’s Real Estate Market

Mr. Khaled Al Saeh, Country Manager.

The real estate market in Bahrain continues to witness a high demand with signs of increased residential project developments and buyers in the market. According to the data provided by Property Finder Bahrain, there has been an upward growth in the local real estate market.

“It has been a great year overall; the market is definitely growing with higher demand than before. It has also been interesting to witness the rapid growth of our clients, which has pivoted our way to improve our website and portal features to bring valuable insights and qualified leads to the table,” commented Khaled Al Saeh, Country Manager, Property Finder Bahrain.

The number of overall listings on www.propertyfinder.bh has increased by a whopping 36 percent, with a 37 percent increase in impressions when comparing October 2020 to October 2021. This indicates a heavy reliance on the portal to showcase properties for potential leads as well as a high end-user base who choose to look for properties via the website for all their residential and commercial property needs. The ease of use provided by propertyfinder.bh to search for properties based on location, types, price, and keywords, not to mention the variety of properties available on the website has placed it as a user’s first choice when it comes to looking for properties.

The expansion of some areas like Juffair and Hidd through land reclamation has impacted the market heavily with property listings increasing by 47 percent in Juffair and Hidd when comparing October 2020 to October 2021. The expansion plans have opened up new doors to many commercial projects and sea-view residential projects that aim to promote luxury on a budget with easy access to the city.

Further development of areas such as Bahrain Bay has also seen an increase in published listings for sale and rent with many pending real estate projects finally coming close to completion. Listings in Bahrain Bay have increased dramatically, and have almost doubled in number when comparing the same time frame last year. These areas have been in very high demand for those looking for luxurious, mixed-use units, as the area cements its status as, a hub to many international businesses and commercial projects to attract tourism in Bahrain.
