Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre and Zayed University to Develop Joint Projects in Education and Human Development

Memorandum of Understanding signed during first edition of the Arabic Language Summit

The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), part of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zayed University to coordinate efforts to boost scientific research and develop joint programmes for education and human development.

The MoU was signed by Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, and His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the ALC , on the opening day of the first Arabic Language Summit, a two-day event taking place at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The MoU will see the two parties coordinate their efforts to expand the scope of education and fuel human development through joint academic research projects. The agreement also calls for employing scientific and academic expertise, exchanging professional experiences, and utilising available facilities to fulfil both entities’ goals and strategies.

 

The ALC strives to promote the Arabic language and advance its standing through strategies designed to develop the language and encourage its use in scientific, educational, cultural, and creative sectors. The ALC aims to facilitate intercultural communication and promote the mastery of the Arabic language domestically and internationally, in addition to supporting Arab talents in writing, translation, publishing, scientific research, audio-visual content creation, and the organisation of book fairs.
