ADIDAS KICKS OFF DUBAI FITNESS CHALLENGE WITH A CALENDAR OFEXCITING FITNESS EVENTS ACROSS 30 DAYS

adidas is proud to announce its partnership with Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) for its fifth edition as part of the brand’s continuous effort to strengthen and improve the wellbeing of communities in Dubai supporting the vision to be the most active city in the world. From the 29th October – 27th November, adidas will host a variety of curated and engaging sporting sessions for all levels and experience, encouragingDubai residentsto kick start their physical journey through one-of-a-kind fitness challenges and classes.

adidas’ partnership with Dubai Fitness Challenge, an initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai,further cements its strategy to showcase Dubai as a pioneer in the fitness industry and to highlight the city as a key location for sporting activations. For the whole duration of Dubai 30 x 30, everyoneis invited to take part in an exciting calendar of events that will motivate participants to put on their training shoes and put their health and wellness first with 30 minutes of exercise every day for 30 days.

In collaboration with Emaar, Dubai Fitness Challenge, and Burj Khalifa, adidas celebrated the launch of Dubai Fitness Challenge with an inspirational statement. Professional free runner, Lynn Jungchallenged herself by running on the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. Lynn is the first female ever to run on Burj Khalifa, after Tom Cruise’s stunt for the movie Mission Impossible.adidas aims to furtherempower women while simultaneously motivating people across all genders, ages, and ethnicities, by highlighting each and everyperson’s ability to challenge limitations within sport and beyond.

Lynn stated that “Wow, what an incredible but tough experience. Being on the tallest building in the world felt surreal and I am so honoured to have achieved this in the city of Dubai.”

Continuing the momentum, four keyadidas sporting activities will be taking over the city of Dubai, offering various opportunities for the community to challenge their own limitations within an experiential setting.

360-degreeyoga at Ain Dubai

The first activation will see one of a kind360-degree yogasessionshosted on Ain Dubaiby Dubai Holding – the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel located at Bluewaterson the 29th of October.

Spin sessions aboard the QE2 Ship

The following week will include an energetic spinning class aboard the deck of the iconic floating Queen Elizabeth on the 14th of November.

Race for the Deserts

The next major activity will be one of the brand’s biggest to date and focusing on its sustainability mission, Race for the Deserts. In an effort for adidas to harness the power of sports and to drive change, adidas will host Race for the Deserts on November 27. The desert is a vital area not only culturally for the UAE, but also a crucial environmental landscape to various wildlife in the country, making the UAE deserts a place for safekeeping and treasuring. adidas aims to reduce the harmful wastes found in the deserts by empowering people of all fitness levels to take part in the Race for the Deserts. For every KM run, 10AED will be contributed to more resources to clean up the deserts and support adidas’ mission to end plastic waste. adidas aims to bring Dubai’s community together in this initiative, inviting residents to unite and Race for the Deserts, and encourages all to run and contribute to the funds which will be capped at 100,000 USD.

Floating Football Pitch

Lastly, and to finish off the month with some friendly competition, on the 24th of November, adidas will be hosting a football challenge with an unexpected twist. The football field will be as part of the new Dubai Harbour and as part of #NoFilterDXB event in partnership with Gulf United football academy based in Dubai. The set up will include a3 vs. 3pitch that is sure to add an extra challenge to the match, with Gulf United academy ensuring players are ready to play with pre speed, with agility sessions before the game. Football lovers are invited to conclude the month-long activities on a playful note, experiencing Dubai’s ever floating football pitch, which aims to offer a unique take on one of the most beloved sports in the world.
