Al Ain Book Festival 2022 presents live music performances by Emirati and international artists

Organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), part of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), under the slogan ‘All eyes on Al Ain’, Al Ain Book Festival 2022 hosted several live entertainments with international and local bands putting on high-energy shows for visitors.

In addition to local folk and heritage-inspired art, along with waterfalls presented by participants to the tune of national music, the festival attracts popular bands from around the Emirates.

The festival square will feature international musical performances for visitors throughout the day that reflect and celebrate their countries across the globe, often played on distinctive musical instruments. Visitors are welcomed with folk dances that represent various cultures from around the world.

An international group will present a series of entertainment segments at the festival, dancing in bright colours while playing music and performing acrobatic movements to appeal to festival visitors and their families. Children and school students are also entertained during the festival’s morning and evening shows, as well as competitions designed to motivate children to read and enjoy the atmosphere.

On another note, the Emirati musical troupes of Al Harbiya, Al Ayala, and Al Askariyya present daily performances at Qasr Al Muwaiji in Al Ain. The festival also features performances by the military band, which plays ancient instruments such as flute and bagpipes throughout the palace. Additionally, there were brass cups and Arabic drums, as well as marching music and patriotic songs to entertain attendees.
