Al Wathba National Insurance Company (AWNIC) celebrates 25 years of its remarkable operations in the UAE

As AWNIC marks its silver jubilee in the insurance industry, we express our sincere gratitude to our shareholders for their trust, loyal policy holders, business partners, vendors who have been with us in this business excellence journey and our staff who have been instrumental in delivering quality service over the years.

Throughout our journey of two and a half decades, the insurance sector has emerged with change in preferences, service expectations and consumer behavior. The customer needs have become more sophisticated with an increase in insurance awareness and the focus has shifted towards the quality of services, reputation and service touch points provided by the company. 

The COVID 19 pandemic underlined the need for innovation in customer service and the imperative adoption of digitalization in operations. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, by leveraging our coveted digital capabilities, we were able to operate 100% remotely and were one of the few insurance companies in the UAE to operate efficiently without even losing one day of productivity.

With technology at the heart of all our activities, we have also enabled a seamless customer journey through e-channels such as the e-commerce website and mobile app which allows customers to access our insurance products, report and review claim status anytime and anywhere on the go.

During the challenges the world faced in 2020, kindness and empathy needed to be a part of any business operation. Hence, AWNIC has played its part in recognizing the UAE frontliners by rolling out the UAE Heroes initiative to contribute with up to AED 1 million which was well received and appreciated by the regulators.

Finally, as AWNIC continues to lead in the insurance sector wherein trust matters the most, we remain committed to meet the expectations of our stakeholders, partners, employees, and customers. AWNIC has proudly served 500,000 happy customers by delivering sustainable value for all stakeholders and, we will continue to reflect on our past and strive to improve our operations each day by leaving a positive impact on society.
