And it was a perfect fit for this growing company to take this step in the technologically progressive city of Dubai!
In an online, technology driven world, it helps tremendously to have the right tools at your fingertips. AngoothaPe is one such app that was soft launched on August 15th in Maharashtra, with the aim to increase financial inclusion in India by enabling various merchants to enter the financial ecosystem and bring the convenience of cash withdrawal and digital payments to rural India.
With steady but sure progress, AngoothaPe has made its mark among Indians and continues to establish itself as a frontrunner in the payment services business for the merchants, to start with, and very soon to consumers once it launches its app for the general public.
AnghootaPe demonstrates a growing presence in Maharashtra, UP, Bihar and Rajasthan with over 500 merchants and expects to cross an annual volume of 500 crore in 2022 which would be its first full year in operation. The 40+ employees are all focused on bringing the best accessibility and convenience when it comes to digital payments, via AnghootaPe.
Sagar P. Chandiramani, CEO of AngoothaPe says “Digitizing payments has always been at the core of our business strategy and while there is massive adoption of digital payments in urban India, there still lies a large part of rural India that needs to be brought into the financial ecosystem and digital payments is our first step to realize this vision. In a short span of 6 months since launch, we have launched across multiple states with our domestic money transfer, Aadhar Enabled Payment Systems (AEPS) & MicroATMs and over the course of time, we want every Indian to make payments only using their angootha (fingertips)!”
