Burjeel Hospitals Welcome National Day Babies

VPS Healthcare’s Burjeel hospitals in Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Bin Zayed City, and Al Ain welcomed nine babies on the special occasion of the UAE National Day. The birth of the babies on the day of UAE’s golden jubilee has added to the joy of the parents and the family.

Burjeel Medical City, the flagship VPS Healthcare facility at Mohammed Bin Zayed City in Abu Dhabi, welcomed five Emirati babies including a twin in the early hours of the UAE national day.

The hospital witnessed the delivery of Emirati identical twins at 12:10 am. The twin baby boys, named Hamid Ahamed Al Kathiri and Ali Ahmed Al Kathiri, weighing 2100 and 2400 grams, respectively, were born to the family of Ahmed Al Kathiri

A happy father, Al Kathiri thanked the Lord Almighty for blessing them with twin babies on the special day. “We are so happy and thrilled. We were expecting the delivery to happen in the first week of December. But we never thought that our little princes will arrive on the occasion of UAE 50th National Day. They have made it so special. Welcoming twin babies on a historic day is an unforgettable moment for us. All of us in our family are overwhelmed. Thank you to Dr. Rihan and the medical staff at Burjeel Medical City for their support and care,” he added.

Dr. Rihan Saafan, Director of Maternity Services at Burjeel Medical City, said: “We are so happy for the family of Ahmed to be blessed with twin babies on the day of the UAE National Day. We extend them our warm regards and wish the best for the babies and the parents to have a healthy and happy life ahead. We at Burjeel Medical city are happy and delighted to welcome five babies on this significant day.”

The hospital had three more Emirati babies born in the day. Emirati baby girls Hind Ahmed Al- Marzouqi and Fatima Faisal Rahma were born at 12:01 am and 12:30 am, respectively.

 

  • Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi

Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi, welcomed the first baby exactly at 12:00 am. A baby girl, she was born to an Emirati couple, Muslam Lazem Muslam Almanhali and Muna Ali Ahmed, who were profoundly delighted to welcome their newborn baby girl on Thursday early morning. The second child of the couple, her birth at 12:00 am arguably makes her the first child in the UAE to be born on the special day.

The baby named, Methaa Muslam Almanhali, weighed 2650 grams and both the mother and child are healthy and safe.

Thrilled parents, Muslam Lazem Muslam Almanhali and Muna Ali Ahmed, said they are happy and grateful to the Almighty for blessing them with a baby on this special day. “We have been longing for this since Muna became pregnant. This is our second child and hence the entire family has been waiting for this day. It is a blessing that the child has been born when the nation as a whole is celebrating its golden jubilee,” said Almanhali.

He also thanked the medical and nursing staff at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi, for the care and service during the entire period.

The second baby to be born at the hospital on the National Day was baby Khaled Rashed Alshehi. Born to Rashed Alshehi family, the baby boy was born at 12:30 am.

At 1:06 am, Burjeel Hospital witnessed the delivery of the third child. The baby was born to the Emirati family of Fayez Hadi Almuhrami. The baby was named Sheikha Fayez Hadi AlMuharami.

Dr. Sausan Abdul Rahman, Consultant – Obstetrics and Gynecology at Burjeel Hospital, said she is happy that the babies and mothers are healthy and safe. “We at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi, are very happy for the parents on the birth of their baby boy and baby girls. To be blessed with a baby on a special day adds to the happiness of the family. We wish the family and the baby a very happy and healthy life.”

 

  • Burjeel Hospital, Al Ain

Burjeel Hospital, Al Ain, welcomed the baby girl Laly on the national day at 02:12 am. The baby girl born to Emirati couples, Hussein Bin Gharib and Robab Ahmad Dorraei weighed 3220 grams.

“We cannot be more overjoyed than welcoming our little girl on the special occasion of UAE National Day. This time, it is more special because we are celebrating the golden jubilee of the UAE. As parents, we are so happy and thrilled. Our family is also overwhelmed to learn about the news. She is a blessing and a special gift that God has sent us to add to our happiness,” said Hussein and Robab, who were thrilled to welcome their fifth child.
