Canon reaffirms commitment to Saudi Vision 2030 and sets goal of 30% saudi women in their ksa offices by end of 2023

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 23rdSeptember 2021: Canon Saudi Arabia, a provider of imaging technologies and services has reiterated its commitment to the Vision 2030 plan to harness the Kingdom’s potential to achieve its ambitionsof a diversified,sustainable, and thriving economy. In particular, on the human capability development side, and aligned with Canon’s own corporate values of Kyosei, Canon has always been a powerful advocate for empowering Saudi nationals, investing in capacity building and supporting young and local talent, whichincludes promotingthe inclusion of women in the workplace.

Canonis aiming tohave30% Saudi women’s participation in itsworkplace in the Kingdomby end of 2023. A target which the company has already started working towards, through several initiativessince its establishment in Saudi Arabia in 2018.

Canon Saudi’spartnership with King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, to further develop higher education standards and technology-enabled training is a testament to the company’s commitment of supporting young talent from their formative years, so as to ease the transition into the workplace.

Canon Saudi has also launched a scholarship program to sponsor one academically distinguished female student at Mohammed Al-Mana College for Medical Sciences, for the full 5-year duration of her studies, including all fees, housing and expenses.

In addition, the company has also launched a regional internship program, aimed specifically for ‘Women in sales’, along with various other programs.
