Century Financial supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the #SheMatters campaign

Partners with the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and Al Jalila Foundation for staff engagement programs and community initiatives

Contributing towards Breast Cancer Awareness Monththat’s observed globally in October; Century Financial, UAE’s leading financial consultancy hoststhe #SheMatters campaign to address the cause. The company in association with MOHAP and Al Jalila Foundation raising awareness through seminarshighlightingthe importance of early detection.

Speaking about the campaign,Bal Krishen, Chairman of Century Financialsaid; “The most common cancer among women in the UAE is breast cancer. With #SheMatters campaign, we intend to share knowledge through reliable sources to bust myths and boost awareness revolving around breast cancer. Early detection and self-examination play a crucial role in detecting breast cancer and through our initiatives we aim to encourage our staff to undergo regular screening and support the global fight against this disease.”

As the world unites in efforts to continue raising awareness about breast cancer; Century Financial will contribute towards this global awareness drive through atalk series by doctors explaining the importance of early detection through self-examination. The campaign will also conduct health checkups for female employees along with informative sessions on the cause, early detection, and carein association with MOHAP (Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE).

With #SheMatters, Century Financial has also partnered with Al Jalila Foundation, a global healthcare philanthropic organisationthat’s dedicated to transforming lives. Having committed a donation of AED 10,000 towards Al JalilaFoundation and BrestFriends’ “#PINKtobercampaign”; Century Financial will contribute in a small way to fulfillingAl Jalila Foundation’s goals for breast cancer research and treatment in the UAE.

Speaking about the association, Dr. Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, Chief Executive Officer, Al Jalila Foundation said,“Breast cancer remains one of the most serious health challenges affecting women globally, and our only hope to improve survival rates is to invest in medical research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Every year during October our #PINKtober campaign, in partnership with Brest Friends, receives overwhelming support fromcorporatessuch as Century Financial, retailers,schools,sports clubs, and community-led organizations to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer treatment and research in the UAE.”
