The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) kicked off a variety of events to commemorate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 92nd National Day, with activities to suit people of all ages andfrom every walk of life. DGDA’s National Day agenda has been meticulously organized and planned to mirror the feeling of harmony and national pride evoked during this holiday.
DGDA’s National Day events are a reflection of the country’s diversity, representing the passion and adoration for the country shared by the people of Diriyah and the entirety of the Kingdom. Organized in collaboration with multiple agencies, the day’s proceedings include the Diriyah March, a public celebratory parade with floats and residents filling Diriyah’s streets. In response to the popularity of the event during the last few years, this year’s edition will feature a new concept built around four decorated vehicles touring through the city. In addition to the parade vehicles, the Riyadh Bikers club will cruise their way around Diriyah as an extension of the group’s community involvement activities.
The Royal Saudi Navy’s Motorcycle Cavalcade is also scheduled to travel from the helicopter landing pad to Ghusaibah, showcasing their sleek, polished bikes to participants and onlookers. Beyond the march in Diriyah, three public parks in the districts of Faisaliah, Khalidiyah, and Jax district will be hosting festivities to help residents and visitors rejoice during the National Day celebrations.
Jerry Inzerillo, Group Chief Executive Officer of DGDA, expressed his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on the occasion of the 92nd Saudi National Day. He pointed out that Diriyah played a key role in the Kingdom’s history as the cradle of the first Saudi state 300 years ago, stating that the area represents the core of Saudi cultural heritage, and traditions.
Mr. Inzerillo further emphasized that DGDA is consistently active in its engagement during every national event, particularly in celebrating with the city’s residents during special occasions and serving as a "good neighbor" to the people of Diriyah. He added that the diverse events reflect the authority's desire to cater to the needs of residents and visitors, and come as part of its efforts to showcase the historical and cultural heritage of Diriyah while providing everything required to enjoy a modern lifestyle.
