DHA and Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Middle East Sign Agreement at Arab Health 2022

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Middle East signed an agreement on the sidelines of the Arab Health Congress and Exhibition, which took  place at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The agreement aims to foster collaboration in four areas: Professional training programs, public health awareness programs, service and solutions and collaboration in the field of research and development.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Younis Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Health Care Corporation, and Marzena Kulis, Managing Director, Johnson and Johnson Medical Devices, Middle East. 

Dr Kazim highlighted that the DHA considers the private sector to be a key partner in the realization of its vision to provide the highest quality of specialized and accessible healthcare to its population and medical tourists. 

He said that that together the two parties will work with a joint vision to further enhance the health sector of the Emirate.

Marzena Kunis emphasized that advancements in healthcare can be accelerated through collaboration. By joining together to develop strong healthcare capabilities and to build public awareness on critical health diseases, Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Middle East and the DHA will work towards achieving their common goal of helping the people in the UAE  live better and healthier lives. This partnership is a meaningful example of the public and private sector coming together and sharing their respective expertise to foster innovation and drive the development of Dubai’s healthcare sector.     


The scope of work of the agreement is wide reaching and in the field of professional training programs it includes training nurses, surgical teams and OR managers.

It also includes residency programs, train the trainee programs as well as training in  problem solving, leadership and simulation programs on surgeries.

In terms of public health awareness programs,  the two sides will mainly collaborate on awareness programs in the field of colorectal cancer, atrial fibrillation (AFIB) and obesity.

In the area of service and solutions the two parties will extend their collaboration in digital programs and patients' pathways optimization solutions. 

The two parties will also look to develop areas related to research and development in the medical field.
