The Digital Dubai Pavilion highlights the collaborative digital approach that brings Digital Dubai together with partners from both the government and private sectors to work as one team, address pressing challenges, and reap the benefits of this new era of development.

“As with every edition of GITEX, we return this year with the same spirit: multiple partners with one common goal,” said His Excellency Hamad Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai. “Nevertheless, this edition of GITEX is special; it coincides with the UAE’s 50th anniversary, which draws the curtain on half a century of astonishing accomplishments that have made waves around the world. We now look forward to another 50 years of unwavering dedication, where we march, guided by our wise leadership, towards more success. GITEX 2021 is taking place as the entire world converges on Dubai, underlining the advanced status this future-focused city has come to command on the world stage. Today, we witness a return to normalcy and activity in Dubai and the UAE, as Expo 2020 welcomes the world with a bustling agenda of events and conferences.”

“GITEX Global 2021 is the largest exhibition of its kind in the Middle East and Africa and has a long history of showcasing the latest technological breakthroughs,” H.E. Al Mansoori added. “The event offers a platform for Digital Dubai to introduce its new approach, which goes beyond developing and digitalizing government services to setting plans for an integrated digital future. This edition of GITEX will introduce visitors to Dubai’s ambitions to develop its digital economy and use advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and data science to enhance every aspect of people’s lives, most notably in government services, which have now turned 100% paperless.”

Digital Dubai and its partners aim to develop a secure digital environment to protect and monitor data, information systems, and communication networks across all sectors, setting the foundations for an attractive investment climate and a stimulating social system that allow for the advancements needed in the new era. Another key objective is supporting decision makers to set development policies and plans, quantify smart and digital transformation in Dubai, and ensure the community’s happiness and wellbeing.

GITEX Global 2021 keeps track of innovative technologies that help organizations advance and succeed in the fields of e-commerce, artificial intelligence (AI), fifth-generation technology, cloud computing, and specialized hardware and software. The event will include a wide range of conferences designed around special sectors and focusing on the latest innovations. A series of discussions will also be held to tackle current trends and future opportunities in technology and advanced digital solutions.
