Following the success of the first season, the second season will kick off in the month of September 2023 and will be held between 24th Sept to 8th October. According to Mr. Riyas Baree, the brain behind DRO Premier League Cricket Tournament, “Cricket lovers can brace themselves for another thrilling season of cricket that promises to be even more exciting and action-packed than before and is sponsored by Mech Experts, 5 G Technologies and Electronic Planet”.

“The DRO Premier League Cricket Tournament aims to foster cricketing talents across the community. For the second time this year, four teams will compete for the honor. Beyond the excitement of the matches, the league holds a greater purpose of nurturing cricketing talents within the community. With a focus on fostering new talents, this season aims to bring forth a new generation of cricket stars. We are fairly confident that this season will witness electrifying matches, nail-biting moments, and unforgettable cricketing action,” said Mr Riyas Baree

According to Mr. Sadat Nalakath, Committee Head of DPL, “The teams are all in place and all them have already started working out their strategies to ensure that they win the coveted title. The reigning champions, DRO Tuskers, is all set to defend their title. With Prominent Insurance, Quick Supermarket and Giridhar Dikshit backing them, along with Sreekant, they are gearing up for another spectacular season. The team will be led by the talented Riyas Baree, who is fairly confident that he can lead his team to victory once again and retain the title. It also goes without saying that DRO Kings, the runners-up of the first season, will leave no stone unturned to lift the coveted trophy this year. Owned by Wellworth Technical Services and Plant Scape LLC, and under the leadership of Siraj Ismail, the Kings are determined to take the crown this time around. Other strong teams that are in contention include Waqas Ali Dar's Patriots, led by Sadat Nalakath, as well as The Spartans, brought to the field by Zahir Ali, Anil Moopan, and Shani. The Spartans are aiming to make a mark under the captaincy of Aashir,”

“The DRO Premier League Cricket Tournament is a well-planned event and is organised in a highly professional manner. There are strict guidelines in place. Apart from being an event of camaraderie, the tournament also provides a platform for aspiring and talented cricketers to showcase their cricketing skills. There is a real passion for cricket in the community and we feel that we have to provide them the encouragement and the backing that will help them to emerge as good cricketers in the UAE cricket scene,” he added.
