EHS is the only health entity in the world to offer the ‘Maharati’ program
The final day of Arab Health 2022 saw Emirates Health Services (EHS) reveal four of its recent projects that are supported by artificial intelligence (AI), including the ‘Maharati‘ (‘My Skills’) program, with EHS the first healthcare entity in the world to offer the service.
Mubaraka Ibrahim, Acting Chief Information Officer at EHS, confirmed that the projects aim to strengthen the company’s portfolio and represents another step forwards in the quality of services it provides to customers. He affirmed that it is in alignment with the company’s strategy of developing the sector, meeting the requirements of customers, raising the quality of health and well-being for the community, and consolidating the role of EHS as a healthcare technology and AI pioneer.
The Maharati program project is one of the most prominent initiatives ever announced by EHS, with the organisation the first health entity to offer the program. The smart system is designed to support EHS strategies and enhance training and knowledge management for its user employees.
Despite being a new launch, the Maharati program already has more than 4,000 users from the public and private sectors, including Dubai Health Authority, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), Sharjah Education Council, Pure Health, Unison, and Mediclinic. It has received many international accreditations and recognitions, including accreditation for knowledge management, management of educational institutions, and management of competencies and people development, with several ISO certificates to its name.
The PaCE & EHS Command Center Initiative was the second EHS project announced on the last day of Arab Health, with the tool including PaCE ER Patient Flow ER Dashboard focusing on operational and clinical flows, with real time and monthly trend analysis highlighting the entire patient journey. Focusing on bottle neck areas from physician’s decision of admit to movement of patient outside the emergency service, the tool provides an overall focus on patient flow from ER to Inpatient wards in EHS hospitals. The program also includes the Real Time Bed Management Initiative, a patient data sharing tool that aids care coordination efforts, improves communication, collaboration and data accessibility, and assists in better allocation of resources in order to enhance patient outcomes and improve the quality of care.
The third project announced by EHS was Excellence in Clinical Decision, a tool that supports the implementation of knowledge-based clinical decision tools at the point of care. It includes evidence-based order sets, evidence-based interdisciplinary care plans and an education plan.
The fourth project announced by EHS was the Federal Interoperability Initiatives, which enables integration of the EHS electronic services with federal entities’ services, such as National Placement Office for Students, military services for health checks, controlled drug checks with the Ministry of Interior, pre-marital screening for the Ministry of Justice and data exchange with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management.
