Fujairah Hospital, part of Emirates Health Services (EHS), hosted its annual 2024 ceremony to award employees and partners who have played a key role in its success. The event put the spotlight on achievements such as the Zero Government Bureaucracy initiatives that have significantly transformed the hospital's administrative and healthcare services.

Dr. Ahmed Al Khadeim, Director of Fujairah Hospital, commended the efforts of the team and partners in executing ambitious projects aimed at improving customer experience and enhancing operational efficiency. He emphasized that the ceremony was a chance to celebrate the year’s achievements, including the successful implementation of six bureaucracy reduction initiatives. These initiatives led to the elimination of over 30 procedures, saving more than 30 million minutes in processing time and reducing approximately 150,000 visits. As a result, the hospital achieved a remarkable 99% customer satisfaction rate and reduced carbon emissions by 180 million kilograms annually.

Dr. Al Khadeim added: “One of the year's most significant achievements was receiving the second Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, in addition to prestigious awards and recognitions such as the IHF World Hospital Congress Award, and the ISO Quality Certificate in Integrated Management Systems. The hospital also made substantial progress in adhering to the standards of the Global Star Rating System for Services aiming to secure a 5-star rating in the next evaluation. These achievements underscore the exceptional efforts of our outstanding employees, who have propelled the hospital to a leading position among national healthcare institutions.”

The annual ceremony celebrated outstanding employees who provided exceptional performance throughout the year and the teams that participated in the success of the ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy’ initiatives. The teams showcased an innovative approach to improving government procedures and enhancing service efficiency. The event highlighted the importance of supporting and empowering human resources by encouraging employees to engage in innovation projects.
