Her Excellency Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, today visited the Seychelles Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Her Excellency learned about the country’s pristine environment and natural treasures, the challenges it faces, and the solutions implemented to address them. Notably, the island nation has allocated 47 percent of its total territory of 459 square kilometers to protected areas.
The Seychelles is one of the world’s leading countries in land protection, and has vast natural plantations of spice trees, such as cinnamon and vanilla. It is also a top global ecotourism destination.
Expo 2020 Dubai is an important platform that aims to drive collaboration and build synergies with participating countries across all sectors. It reflects the UAE’s commitment to shaping a better future, where countries can prosper and thrive.
