The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA) has organised a training workshop titled ‘An Environment and Culture of Innovation’ at the Expo 2020 Dubai site, as part of the Ministry’s agenda of events for UAE Innovation Month 2022.
The workshop sought to help MFNCA employees and members of the community to sharpen their skills; boost their brainstorming abilities, innovation, and competitiveness; and equip them with the tools they need to contribute to government work and enhance the quality of services provided to customers.
The workshop featured Mr Hussain Al Fardan, Chairman of Ideas Arabia and Ideas Emirates, Member of the Board at Ideas UK, and Member of the World Innovation Network, and was attended by His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah is Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affair and His Excellency Sami bin Adi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector at the MFNCA, along with a number of the Ministry’s officials and employees, and Expo 2020 visitors.
The workshop addressed several topics, most notably: finding your passion for motivation and innovation; designing an innovation strategy for each individual; and open and closed innovation programmes. The session also focused on how to manage innovation-related risks; communicate innovations to senior officials; and enhance confidence in employees’ ideas. It also explored the extent to which individuals’ innovation goals are related to their organisations’ strategic objectives, and how to design innovation models to cater to both private and corporate culture.
“The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs is organising this training workshop out of our commitment to launching innovative initiatives that align with the directives of our wise leadership, and its vision to encourage creativity and innovation, and establish the UAE’s leadership in every field over the next 50 years,” said MFNCA Undersecretary H.E. Tariq Hilal Lootah. “The Ministry considers innovation to be the engine driving all efforts to enhance performance and advance work procedures. We routinely embed innovation into our initiatives to ensure integration and competitiveness, as well as to promote a culture of innovation. The MFNCA is dedicated to creating a stimulating work environment for our team, as a means to achieve our strategic objectives.”
The Ministry of State for FNC Affairs had announced its agenda for UAE Innovation Month in early February. Activities include awareness publications issued on a weekly basis; competitions to motivate employees and promote team spirit and creative thinking among them; and workshops and training courses held in collaboration with Gemstone and discussing the features and advantages of smartphone applications and AI basics. The MFNCA also organised the ‘Think and Innovate’ initiative, which aims to promote a culture of innovation and creativity among employees at both the professional and personal levels.
