Oman Arab Bank (OAB) recently announced an initiative for the administration of the COVID-19 booster shot for its employees. This step is aligned with the national efforts to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and its variants. The initiative took place in collaboration with Oman International Hospital and makes OAB the first bank in Oman to carry out this initiative.
OAB was one of the first institutions to implement effective solutions in record time to ensure the highest levels of safety, for employees and customers. To ensure this, the Bank launched its Wiqaya programme supervised by its Human Resources Division. It included several awareness activities and workshops aimed at enhancing adherence to preventive measures based on the directives of the Supreme Committee.
The initiative took place on Thursday, February 3 and saw the presence of a large number of employees from all OAB branches and departments.
The Bank continues to maintain several preventive measures to offset the spread of the Coronavirus and reduce the risk internally within the Bank. This includes the provision of sanitisers, masks and other protective equipment to staff, as well as enforcing social distancing wherever possible.
OAB has a rich and proud history as one of the first financial institutions to be established in the Sultanate. Today, the OAB Group operates a nationwide network of 51 conventional branches, 15 Islamic branches, 150 conventional ATMs and 15 Islamic ATMs in high footfall locations across the Sultanate. OAB provides a complete range of financial products and services through its OAB Online App. Customers can now digitally benefit from several other services, directly from the convenience of their mobile phones.
