Three-quarters of Brighton College Dubai pupils achieved grades A*- B in the College's first set of A Level results, a testament to the academic excellence that Brighton College is renowned for and resulting in the majority of pupils being able to take up their first choice of university place.
On average pupils achieved almost two whole grades higher than their expected progress upon joining the College (the so-called 'Value Added' measure of performance).
Brighton College Dubai now follows in the footsteps of its sister schools in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain by becoming yet another beacon of A Level excellence in the UAE. A Levels are the gold standard passport to university education and the College’s pupils will now be able to take up a wide range of impressive offers from top global universities in the UK, North America and Europe.
Simon Crane, Head Master of Brighton College Dubai, said “I am incredibly proud of the achievements of our first graduating class of A Level pupils. They have shown determination, focus, grit and hard work and this has clearly paid off. They have been supported by our dedicated team of A Level specialist teachers and thrived in our caring and nurturing learning environment. My warmest congratulations goes to our excellent pupils and staff on these fantastic achievements. As well as being academically dedicated, our pupils have been involved in all other aspects of school life, including taking on wellbeing initiatives, sports and leadership positions.”
Joe Hall, Head of Sixth Form, Brighton College Dubai said: “I am absolutely delighted with our very first set of A Level results. The hard work and commitment of our pupils was never in question but given the turbulent past few years faced by the Covid generation, the challenge was greater than ever. By providing small classes, personalised support and a fantastic learning environment we have been able to help our pupils be the very best versions of themselves, both academically and personally. These results are testament to that effort.”
