Press Release

Dubai, United Arab Emirates : ENOC Group, the Official Integrated Energy Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, and the exclusive host of LPG Week, together with Emirates Gas, a subsidiary of ENOC Group and a leading player in the UAE’s gas industry, are gearing up to host industry experts at the world’s first hybrid LPG Week, which is organised by the World LPG Association and is taking place next month in Dubai.

Under the theme ‘Energising Tomorrow’, LPG Week 2021/Dubai is organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group from 5th-9th December at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The event will witness the expected participation of over 2,000 delegates from 90 companies across 72 countries bringing international best practices, challenging industry standards, gathering industry leaders and policymakers, and forging new business relationships within the region and globally.

Established in 1987 and granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council in 1989, the WLPGA is the authoritative voice of the global LPG industry and represents the full LPG value chain. Every year, LPG Week is hosted in a different location, and brings together CEOs and senior representatives of major LPG companies and government ministers.

His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO, ENOC, said: “LPG Week is a global forum that offers engaging and thought-provoking discussions on global consumption, production, and investment in LPG. ENOC has always been at the forefront of experimenting and using alternative technologies for promoting a green and sustainable Dubai. These meaningful and informed discussions will further support the industry’s transformation and act as a strong catalyst towards adopting sustainable development initiatives and contributing towards a greener community.”

Following the success of e-LPG Week in 2020, this year’s LPG Week will follow a hybrid concept. In parallel with the in-person event, LPG Week 2021 will also take place online. This offers a great opportunity to engage with an even larger group of LPG stakeholders across the globe.

ENOC Group and Emirates Gas submitted the bid to host the event for the very first time in the Middle East during the 30th World LPG Forum: envisioning it to coincide with Expo 2020 Dubai, giving delegates the opportunity to visit Expo 2020 Dubai simultaneously. This was supported by several government entities and organisations including DEWA, Dubai Police, Ministry of Interior, RTA, Emarat Petroleum, Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Emirates Airline, Cavagna Group Italy, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai Airports Authority, and major local and regional oil and gas major companies.

Responding to the increasing demand for energy and sustainable development in the region, Emirates Gas has introduced several innovative products, such as Emirates Gas Aerosol Propellant (EGAP), Cutting Edge Gas (CEG), Pro-Power, R 290. Emirates Gas was also the first in the region to introduce the new generation composite cylinders; a lightweight, safe alternative for LPG cylinders; contributing to diversifying the energy mix in UAE.
