Rajasthan week at India Pavilion attracting investors and visitors in a big way

The Indian state of Rajasthan is ready to showcase the immense business opportunities available in the state to the global investors during its participation at India Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai.

The state has kickstarted the proceedings as part of the ‘Rajasthan Week’ at India Pavilion yesterday. Rajasthan is showcasing its business capabilities along with its tradition and culture through a series of events exhibiting opportunities across key focus sectors.

Shri Shanti Kumar Dhariwal, Minister for Urban Development & Housing, Government of Rajasthan Said “There is a lot of scope and business opportunity available at Rajasthan especially in the priority sectors including Tourism & Real Estate. The state Govt’s has taken a series of measures and enabled a 180-degree change in how business is done in Rajasthan.”

“To encourage transparency and ease of doing business, all our systems and processes can be accessed online”, added Shri Dhariwal.

Inviting global investors to invest in Rajasthan, Shri Parsadi Lal Meena, Minister for Industry, Government of Rajasthan Said, “Our participation at Expo 2020 is focused on offering the huge investment opportunities available in the state. The government has taken a slew of measures by bringing the right policies in place; thus, ensuring ease of business to attract global investments.”

“We will ensure, that investors will get the best possible amenities. The government is developing various dedicated industrial areas at subdivision level so that the locals, businesses, investors and youth can get the best opportunities”, he added.

The Rajasthan week will see industry-specific expert sessions, roundtable discussions, B2B & G2G meetings along with cultural performances by renowned artists.

Shri Arjun Singh Bamaniya, Minister of State for Industry, Government of Rajasthan Said, “Investment in MSME or any other project in the state has been made more accessible and easier now, as the govt has put all the process under one roof. No Objection Certificate (NOC) and other necessary documents can be easily attained now,”

Some of the prominent sectors, where the state is seeking investment are Real Estate, Tourism, Petroleum, Chemicals, Electrical vehicles, Auto, IT & Electronics, Fintech, Glass and Ceramic, exports etc.

Highlighting the region’s prominence as an emerging location for investment, Ms Rukmani Riar, Executive Director, RIICO Ltd said, “RIICO has been ranked as the best industrial corporation in India and it’s a matter of achievement that Asian Development Bank has ranked 25 of the Rajasthan’s industrial parks amongst the top 68 industrial parks of the country. RIICO is playing an active role in helping the state government in achieving its aim of bringing the state at the pedestal of the most attractive investment destination”

Mr Dhiraj Srivastava, Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation emphasized on the role of importance of diaspora in the development of the state and invited them to contribute to the development of the state.

Inviting investors to be a part of Rajasthan’s growth story, Mr Rajiv Arora, President, Federation of Rajasthan Exporters Said “Every district of Rajasthan has some product which can be exported across the globe. The exports from Rajasthan have grown manifold from a few hundred crores to 1.2 lakh crore in the last 20 years.”

A high-level delegation from the Rajasthan government is in Dubai to meet the investors during the week and pitch for the investments. To further accelerate the growth of manufacturing and service sectors investment, the Rajasthan Govt. is organizing the mega investment event “Invest Rajasthan-2022” at Jaipur on January 24th  & 25th 2022.
