Real Estate Developer makes Donation to Rental Disputes Center

Dubai, UAE, 04 October 2021: The Rental Disputes Center (RDC), the judicial arm of Dubai Land Department (DLD), announced that it had received a donation of AED 100,000 from a real estate developer to its 'Yad Al Khair Committee' to assist with humanitarian cases affected by rental lawsuits and the judicial rulings issued by the centre. RDC Judge Abdulaziz Anwahi, president of Yad Al Khair Committee, received the donation and praised the developer for its commitment to the culture of charitable and humanitarian work in Dubai, in line with the main objectives of the committee to provide support and assistance to families in distress due to rental issues, such as those subjected to eviction from their homes in implementation of an eviction ruling for non-payment of rent or those who are subject to imprisonment for the same reason as well as some humanitarian and social cases for individuals undergoing difficulties that prevented them from fulfilling their financial obligations. RDC's methodology stems from dealing with difficult cases, and its internal regulations, which stress the need to identify humanitarian cases and provide them with support, take into account humanitarian conditions, which in turn contributes to achieving social and economic stability for those involved in the rental sector, and thus the sustainability of Dubai's healthy real estate environment. Anwahi added that the culture of charitable and humanitarian work in the UAE today is a solid approach and an authentic practice in the awareness of individuals and society, turning organised, systematic and sustainable charitable work into a comprehensive societal culture that confirms that nothing is impossible in the UAE, and that achieving stability between landlords and tenants is very important for the sustainability of Dubai's real estate environment.
