Samsung introduces its 2023 TV portfolio with the launch of 77-inch OLED and 8K Neo QLED in the UAE

The new line-up will offer customers the best in-home entertainment powered by Samsung’s premium TV technology

Samsung's 2023 TV line-up consisting of the 77-inch Samsung OLED and the 8K Neo QLED is now available on Samsung.com, brand shops and leading retailers across the UAE. Samsung Gulf Electronics last month unveiled the two Smart TVs for early order in the UAE, receiving an overwhelming response and establishing a benchmark for the launch.

The 77-inch OLED extends Samsung's leadership in OLED technology. The proprietary Quantum HDR OLED+, boosted by Quantum Dots, delivers bold contrast, dramatic sound, and vibrant colours. The powerful AI processing technology transforms ordinary content into colourful 4K video while Dolby Atmos audio provides immersive surround sound. In addition, high-speed games and high-octane movies come alive thanks to the Motion Xcelerator Turbo Pro, which creates crisp 4K visuals at blazing-fast speeds up to 120hz. At the same time, Game Motion Plus goes up to 144hz with compatible PC-connected content.

The Samsung Neo QLED 8K ushers in a new era in home entertainment, delivering unparalleled picture and audio quality. Quantum Mini LEDs produce a billion colours and intense contrast with 1.5 times more lighting zones than Samsung's Quantum Matrix Technology. Meanwhile, the upgraded processor transforms ordinary content into stunning 8K, complemented by lifelike sound with Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound Pro and Symphony 3.0.

Nikola Aksentijevic, Head of Visual Display Group, Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: "Our annual TV releases are highly anticipated as they provide the market standard for the rest of the year. In 2023, the QLED and OLED series will deliver even more immersive experiences with our best visual technology and surround sound. Further, delivering 4K and 8K in ultra-large TVs is a testament to Samsung's audio/visual technology leadership."

By prioritizing its premium range, Samsung has upheld its unparalleled leadership in the TV industry for nearly two decades. According to market research firm Omdia, Samsung once again topped the global TV market in 2022, making it the 17th year in a row the company has ranked first in the TV industry.

Samsung dominated the ultra-large TV market segment in 2022, reporting a 36.1% and 42.9% market share for TVs over 75 and 80 inches, respectively. For the premium TV market priced over $2,500, Samsung retained the largest market share by revenue at 48.6%.
