Sharjah Airport welcomed the return of Turkish Airlines with the flights of, AnadoluJet, the brand of Turkish Airlines, from İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Sharjah, and vice versa. This comes to take advantage of the increasing demand for travel to and from the emirate and given the strategic location of Sharjah Airport, the services it provides according to the highest international standards, and integrated infrastructure, which will allow AnadoluJet to expand its network of destinations in the region.
A reception was held in the presence of His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, and Mr Emre Ismailoglu, General Manager Turkish Airlines of Sharjah, Dubai and the Northern Emirates, as well as several officials from Strategic partners at Sharjah Airport.
Four flights a week
The Turkish company operates its regular flights between Istanbul and Sharjah, at a rate of four flights per week. Flights depart from Sharjah Airport on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week, at 5:20 am UAE time, to İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
Access to a wide network of destinations around the world
His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, said: “We are pleased with the resumption of Turkish Airlines flights via AnadoluJet between Istanbul and Sharjah, which will allow visitors and tourists the opportunity to discover tourist destinations, natural, cultural and recreational, and provide more travel options for visitors. Those wishing to benefit from the integrated and advanced services provided by Sharjah Airport with a more extensive network of regional and international destinations.”
His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa,added: “The Sharjah Airport Authority is keen to provide all the necessary facilities for regional and international airlines, to operate from Sharjah Airport, and to access a wide network of destinations around the world, while adhering to all standards and procedures that provide travelers and customers with a safe, enjoyable and smooth travel experience. As a result of the continuous development strategies in the infrastructure pursued by the Sharjah Airport Authority.”
On his part, Emre Ismailoglu said: We are delighted to continue to serve from Sharjah with Anadolujet, trademark of Turkish Airlines. AnadoluJet will successfully link Sharjah to 88 destinastions around the world with its highly advantageous flight options by ensuring that all hygiene precautions are always taken at the highest standards in order to provide a healthy and safe travel experience for its passengers and flight crew.
Our passengers will have the right of making changes to their tickets with peace of mind for the tickets bought before 31 March 2022. For the launch, round trips from Sharjah is starting at 755 AED.
