The Sheikh Khalifa Medical City-Ajman (SKMCA) Lab has been awarded the College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation as a result of the successful site inspection; a part of the CAP’s Accreditation Programs.
The College of American Pathologists (CAP) is one of the world’s largest organizations of board-certified pathologists, promoting excellence in laboratories and advancing the practice of pathology and laboratory science.
The 70-year-old organization’s goal is to improve patient safety by advancing the quality of pathology and laboratory services through education, standard setting and ensuring laboratories meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
“The process of obtaining the accreditation confirms that our management, quality, and technical systems are in line with the highest possible standards. We provide accuracy and reliability coupled with appropriate administrative procedures to guarantee that all steps starting with the sample, the analysis and the reporting are unified, measured, and monitored,” Acting CEO Mr Magnus Ericsson, asserted.
