The Spirit of Forests, an entertaining action-musical, is roaming the halls of the Expo Centre at the ongoing 14th annual edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF), uplifting the energy levels of scores of visitors while also turning their attention to the significant issue of environment conservation.
Wearing camouflage outfits with artificial leaves and accessories mirroring the colours of nature, the three-member entourage consists of a stilt walker in Gwendal Louyer and musicians Luisa Pietrobon (flute) and Guillaume Liegeois (drums).
Louyer does not just walk on the stilts but he can jump and crouch in the same step as he reaches out to even those watching him in awe from a distance. Louyer is also the producer of the show, having come up with the concept in 2016 to do their bit for Mother Nature.
