The Abu Dhabi School of Government (ADSG), the leading government platform for developing human competencies in Abu Dhabi, part of the Department of Government Support, organized a unique learning journey focused on innovation. Entitled ‘Magic in the UAE’, the event was held in Abu Dhabi and Dubai for the third cohort of ‘The Leader Program’, which aims to develop competencies of Abu Dhabi government employees.

The event welcomed facilitators and speakers from BTS, Astrolabs, Virgin Hyperloop, Dubai Future, Mastercard, Infinity des Lumières, and more. The speakers touched on a wide range of topics including innovation, strategic agility, art, data-driven decision making, and cultivating the future.

Commenting on the success of the event, Sumaya Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Dean of the ADSG, said: “At the ADSG, we are committed to the success and professional development of all our students. Our people are our greatest asset and we always seek to nurture Abu Dhabi Emirate talent.

Therefore, we continue to work with our partners to enrich and develop engaging learning experiences. During the conceptualization process of this event, we sought to design a learning journey that will foster creativity and innovation, as well as provide exposure to key leaders in the creative industry.

We are thrilled to have witnessed participants’ incredible passion and enthusiasm to develop their leadership and creative capabilities throughout this edition of the event and we look forward to their future and continued contributions to the sustainable development of the UAE.”

Launched in January 2019, ‘The Leader Program’ aligns with the Abu Dhabi Government’s vision of establishing a highly competitive, knowledge-based economy. In 2020, the Leader Program was awarded the prestigious Brandon Hall award for being one of the most innovative leadership programs in the world.

As part of its commitment to encourage and foster continuous learning in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, the ADSG has launched over 13 programs and initiatives that provide unique and unparalleled learning opportunities that support the development of skills and competencies of the UAE’s next generation leaders
