The Emirates News Agency (WAM), Djibouti counterpart discuss enhancing media cooperation

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Djibouti Information Agency (Agence Djiboutienne D’Information) in the news service exchange and media content fields.

This came during a meeting between Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of WAM, and Abdoulrazak Ali Dirneh, Director-General of Djibouti Information Agency and in line with the distinguished relations between the UAE and Djibouti in various fields.

Moussa Mohamed Ahmed, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to the UAE was present.

The MoU aims to enhance professional cooperation between the two agencies in the exchange of various media materials within the scope of their coverage and serving their relevant subscribers.

Al Rayssi highlighted WAM’s eagerness to establish a distinctive model of cooperation and partnership globally and stressed the significance of cooperation between the two media outlets which contributes to enhancing media cooperation. He also pointed out that bilateral cooperation between the two sides would contribute to developing media cooperation relations to broader horizons, thus enhancing the cultural scene in the two countries.

In turn, Abdoulrazak emphasised that media cooperation with WAM boosts media relations to broader horizons and contributes to highlighting the achievements, development projects and joint cultural denominators that serve the interests of the two countries and meet the aspirations of their peoples in light of distinguished relations that witness continuous development in various domains, areas and sectors.
