Air Arabia Abu Dhabi expands India operations with direct flights to Delhi
New service represents 16th route of the airline since its launch over a year ago
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital’s low-cost carrier, announced on Wednesday that it will start direct flights to the Indian capital city of Delhi next week onwards.
The new service, to be operated by Airbus A320 starting from November 24, represents the 16th route for the budget airline since it started flying out of Abu Dhabi International Airport in July 2020.
“Abu Dhabi travellers will now be able to fly direct to Delhi, in addition to Cochin, Calicut and Trivandrum in India,” the airline, a joint venture between Etihad and Air Arabia, said in a statement.
The airline also said that customers who book a trip between Abu Dhabi and Delhi will automatically be covered by COVID-19 insurance at no extra cost.
The flights to and from Delhi will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, with the outbound flight scheduled to depart at 10:35 am and the return at 4 pm.
Early this month, the carrier introduced its direct services to Cochin, Calicut and Trivandrum.
