In a move to encourage the spirit of giving throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, volunteers from ENOC Group are distributing 10,000 iftar meals and over 5,500 boxes of grocery items provided by the Group’s ZOOM convenience stores to labour camps. The latest in a series of community initiatives is expected to benefit 400,000 less privileged people in the UAE.
150 employees from ENOC Group gathered together to pack over 680 boxes of groceries supplied by the Group’s ZOOM convenience stores. The grocery boxes featuring essential items including sugar, lentils, rice, flour, and pasta, were distributed to labour camps in the first two weeks of Ramadan as part of the Group’s Grocery Distribution Initiative in partnership with Beit Al Kheir, whereas the iftar meals will be distributed daily during the last two weeks of Ramadan.
ENOC Group is also distributing iftar boxes at traffic signals in partnership with Al Ihsan Charity Association, and date boxes at retail sites in partnership with Alokozay. Other community initiatives include the Group encouraging employees to donate old, used, and new clothes to support the underprivileged through ‘Malabes’, and Emirates Gas, a subsidiary of ENOC Group, donating free LPG gas cylinders to 1,000 families in need. Overall, the Group’s efforts during the Holy Month are expected to help 400,000 underprivileged people in the Emirate of Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.
